The U-Siege is a Tier 4 ship in the U-Series mod. It has 4 cannons at the front; a dual cannon which fires 2 pulses rapidly and two central cannons stacked on top of each other which both rapidly fire inaccurate, lower damage pulses. Its high energy capacity gives it high burst damage, similar to the Marauder. This ship, along with the U-Arsenal, is recommended for new players since it is widely regarded as severely overpowered.
Tips
- This ship is the best in close-range 1v1s, so don't go solo into groups with it.
- It is best to attack from behind and catch an enemy unaware. Try and attack equal mass or larger ships, as the U-Siege does better against large and less agile ships that can't attack as fast as it can.
- If your energy depletes, let it recover completely before firing again, unless you are finishing off a enemy or about to die.
- Groups of U-Sieges are very dangerous because each U-Siege can simply cover all of the others by depleting its entire energy bar while other U-Siege ships are regaining their energy.
- Have a healer if possible. The biggest weakness of the U-Siege is that it takes a long time (1 minute) to regenerate shield, and another is the long time to recharge energy.
- The U-Siege is a very effective miner; with its rapid fire secondary laser similar to the Side-Fighter, asteroids will melt before your very eyes. Use that to your advantage.
- This ship can leave tier 6 and 7 ships with a pretty big chunk of their health gone, or kill them entirely. In fact, to this day people still complain about it being OP, which in a way, it is.
- This ship is weak against some enemies.
- One of its weaknesses is the U-Bruiser. The U-Bruiser completely crushes it in terms of damage, empty DPS (but not burst DPS), and mass (U-Bruiser gets little knockback while U-Siege gets huge knockback if not simply being one-shot). The low mass of the U-Siege makes it so you have to time your bursts very well, otherwise you'll find yourself dead. In fact, high-mass ships in general are an Achilles heel for the Siege, so tread carefully next time you play it.
- The miner ships (U-Center, U-Octa, U-Perimeter) have enough shield to survive the U-Siege while their frontal stream of pulses deliver high damage and knockback to the U-Siege.
- Speedsters can carefully stunlock the U-Siege and kill it or weaken its shield and run away. But if they mess up, the U-Siege will win.
